Summer Beauty Summer Art Retreat Day

Join me for a very special watercolour art retreat at the stunning Lower Norton Flower Farm.
This venue delivers on every level, stunning grounds, filled with gorgeous blooms, which we have full access to, and an incerdible flower studio, in which we will be painting for at least half of the day. We'll be able to wander the flower fields, pick a few stems for inspiration and even paint in situ amongst the blooms!
This art retreat day will be filled with painting techniques, guidance on using watercolour and flowers, what more could you want!
The day will run as two sessions, our morning session based around getting to grips with watercolour and painting florals and botanicals, focusing on form and colour. I'll introduce some warm up techniques, mark making and recognising form, and we'll paint a beautiful botanical piece from our gathered stems.
The morning session will be followed by a light lunch, a chance to chat and share our work before we delve into the afternoon session.
Weather permitting, we'll be wandering the beautiful grounds of the flower farm and painting directly from nature. Using watercolour again for this session, you'll produce a set of tonal studies, followed by a painting of a subject of your choosing. We'll have a marquee should it get breezy and the farm will be in full bloom, so you'll be spoilt for choice as far as subject matter is concerned.
Lastly, we'll re-group in the studio to share our work from the day and give feedback and gather knowledge from the group and there will be an opportunity to visit the pick your own field to gather a bouquet of stems to take home at an additional cost. This can be paid for on the day of the retreat. £30 gets you 35 stems to take home and remind you of your day. If you'd like to add this to your booking, please leave us a note at checkout so we can let the flower farm know.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements prior to the day and we'll ensure we cater for you. Please contact us if you have any allergies that we should know about.
You may pay a deposit to secure your space, and the remaining balance will be due 3 weeks before the retreat day. Spaces are limited to just 15 people, so do secure your booking at the earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.

Art Retreat days are suitable for over 18s only. The studio is wheelchair accessible and has a toilet and hand washing facilities.
